 2008 Business Woman of the Year

The Baxley-Appling County Chamber of Commerce hosted their 11^th annual Business Women?s Luncheon Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 12:00 Noon at  Tradition?s Restaurant banquet room. Over 20+ ladies attended to help us congratulate our 2008 Business Woman of the Year nominees: Louise Miles, Dianne Medders, and Wanda Eason. Lisa Lewis,Chamber President presented our 2008 ?Business Woman of the Year? award to Wanda Eason. Mrs. Eason?s granddaughter, Caitlin Crosby read the following nomination letter to the group.

I wish to nominate my Grandmother Wanda Eason for the 2008 Business Woman of the Year. Thirty-Three years ago she and my Grandfather started Southern Industrial Products, Inc. out of their home. Side by Side they have worked to build their business. She has adapted to the many changes in the workplace throughout the years. This is especially true in the case of technology going from a small typewriter and adding machine to an advanced computerized environment. I am very proud of my Grandmother. Her dedication and work ethic is a true inspiration to me and to everyone who knows her.

Mrs. Watts delivered a spectacular presentation of ?You are a Treasure? to the group of business women. The Baxley ?
